When I was 9, I intended to someday play TLC’s Waterfalls as my wedding song.
Sometimes, despite the happiness my job brings me, I wish I had taken a chance and gone to USC for screenwriting.
I am a giant nerd. I don’t mean that in an “I wear cute glasses” way. I don’t wear glasses. I like video games, programmable/RC robots, and trains.
When life gives me lemons, I pour a little salt and suck on them, then flail my hands around with tears in my eyes at which point someone usually asks, “Why did you just do that?!” and as I wipe my watering eyes, I reply, “It tastes good!” And… yeah, I’m pretty sure that can still be used as a metaphor.
I believe in fortune cookies as long as they have a legit fortune inside and not some lame piece of generic factual information (i.e. “You are awesome”).
I find fictional relationships massively interesting. Jim and Pam, Alex and Izy, couples in Michel Gondry films (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Science of Sleep…).
I LOVE music, particularly of the punk-pop, semi-emo (think Brand New, not My Chemical Romance), and rock variety.
I was the shy kid growing up. Though I’m mostly over that stage, I think I will always be the shy kid at heart.
I find dreams to be absolutely fascinating.
My mom says I should be a stand-up comedian. Oh, moms.
